Here is a named 8th Air Force Officer’s tunic in good overall condition. Named to decorated Navigator with 30 missions Lt (later Captain) Julian Blake of the 389th Bomb Group out of Hethel, Norfolk flying B-24’s service number 12054233. DFC and Air medals.Later he served with SHAEF in Germany.

The four pocket Tunic has Pin back Captain rank to the shoulders, pin back Navigator’s wings over medal ribbons for ETO 4 campaign stars, Air Medal with 3 oak leaf clusters and DFC with 1 oak leaf, attached to the uniform by poppers. US Letters and Aviation branch insignia to the lapels with clutch back fittings. The right shoulder has an English made 8th Air Force patch, left shoulder has a German Bevo weave SHAEF patch which changed from black to blue in 1945. No moth.

Also comes with copies of newspaper cuttings of his service and wedding etc.
