WWII English Made US Army Air Force “Ike” Tunic

Here we has a rare one off 8th Army Air Forces Officer’s English Tailored “Ike” tunic by Fireman and Ward of MaddoxStreet London, named to an 8th Air Force pilot on the label “Cassarinn” dated 3/1/45 (That’s 3rd January 1945) The workmanship is excellent in barathea material, hand stitched with bright red satin twill lining. (Usually reserved for fighter pilot aces, as sign of blood, courage and bravery)

The tunic has 1st Lieutenant pin back rank to the shoulders, British made 8th Air Force patch to the left sleeve, US and Aviation branch insignia to the colloars all clutch back fittings, Pilot wings pin cak maker marked LGB and in sterling silver over a British made medal ribbon bar for the DFC, Air with two oak leaf clusters and the ETO medals with four campaign stars. To the bottom of the left sleeve two overseas service stripes in bullion thread and finally a Presidential Unit citation with two stars.

I do not have any further information or research on this tunic but it is a great piece of WWII history.
