WWII US Army Air Force Officer ”Flight Surgeon” Tunic

We have the Tunic of a 8th Air Force Flight Surgeon's Uniform & Cap named to Captain Thomas Maye Flight Surgeon for the 714th Bomb Squadron, 448th Bomb Group it of Seething, 8th Air Force, England.
A nice 4-pocket Officer's tunic featuring a beautiful 2-piece riveted fine feathered Balfour (Gold) Flight Surgeon wing hallmarked LGB 1/20 10K GF on the wing and Balfour 1/20 10K GF on the Caduceus.
The uniform also features three British made metal overseas bars to cuff.
There are a few moth holes that do not detract largely from the overall appearance of the tunic. Included is his crusher style Officer's cap is missing the leather sweatband and shows some typical wear as shown.
An original photo of the vet (wearing this jacket and cap) accompanies the sale.
The vet is named in the group history as a passenger aboard Crew 57 that was part of the group's original contingent that began operations out of Seething England in December, 1944.
